The Evolving Classic Line

The "Tissot PRS516" is a watch that pays homage to motorsport, inheriting the spirit of the original "Tissot PR516" born in 1965. While its design captures the essence of its era, it expresses originality through a perforated strap inspired by the steering wheels of racing cars. This distinctive image has become a Tissot brand icon to this day.

The new 2016 models are available in three variations: "Quartz Chronograph," "Automatic," and "Automatic Small Second." The highlight is the "Automatic Small Second." This special model features a unique seconds display where the small seconds subdial is divided into three segments, with the hand moving across them in a relay-like fashion.


All models retain the sporty look passed down for 50 years, while receiving significant updates in both design and functionality. The design incorporates numerous elements inspired by race cars. The chronograph model features pushers reminiscent of automobile engine pistons, and the counters on the face, designed to evoke wheels, recall racing car gauges. Naturally, the strap holes and floating indices remain.

Furthermore, the see-through case back of the automatic models features a steering wheel motif. Additionally, all models boast dials with intricate patterns, and the date display and counters express the flowing beauty of race cars. While preserving the original details, the classic atmosphere and authentic image are further enhanced.

In terms of functionality, the three-hand model is equipped with a movement offering approximately 80 hours of power reserve. All models utilize robust, high-quality materials throughout, employing scratch-resistant ceramic or carbon bezels. For the automatic models, the domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass not only adds a touch of luxury but also accentuates the fine details.
