At this spring's Basel Fair, the "L-Evolution Super Trofeo FlybackChronograph" was unveiled. This model is a collaborative chronograph between Blancpain and Lamborghini, inspired by the Lamborghini Gallardo. With design elements reminiscent of the Gallardo throughout, such as the Lamborghini emblem on the 12-hour counter at 9 o'clock, red indices evoking the car's numbering, a rotor designed like a checkered flag, and a strap made of Alcantara, the same material as the car's seats. This limited edition was created to commemorate the "Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo" one-make race series launched last year. In 2010, a special edition sports car, the "Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Blancpain Edition," was produced.

The "Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Blancpain Edition" is a Super Trofeo race car adapted for 100% road use. The first unit of the limited production Gallardo Blancpain Edition was unveiled at the final race of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series, held at the "Piero Taruffi" circuit in Vallelunga on Sunday, September 26th.

Features such as the powerful rear spoiler for maximum stability and the engine cover for optimal ventilation are directly derived from the race cars competing in the world's fastest one-make race series. This Blancpain Edition is equipped with "Scorpius" wheels, featuring yellow brake calipers and carbon-ceramic composite discs. The matte black finish on exterior components like the diffuser and mirror casings complements the carbon fiber, creating a chic yet striking impression, much like the watch itself.

The interior, emphasizing the Gallardo's sporty character, is designed for the comfort of the driver and passengers. The interior is finished in black Alcantara with yellow accents and visible carbon fiber. The Blancpain logo is embroidered in yellow on the exterior, seats, and cockpit, subtly highlighting this as a collaborative model. The engine is the same 570PS V10 unit found in the Superleggera series production cars. The all-wheel-drive system ensures perfect traction and stability in all conditions. Notably, the "Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Blancpain Edition" weighs just 1340kg dry, making it the lightest road-going Lamborghini car.

Blancpain also has a strong connection to the world of racing, serving as the official timekeeper for the FIA GT1 World Championship, where Lamborghinis compete. In July of this year, a Lamborghini driven by former F1 driver Ricardo Zonta and Frank Keahl achieved the first victory in the newly established GT1 World Championship series at the "Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps" in Belgium. The collaboration between these two companies, evident in various racing scenes, promises exciting developments to watch.
