Releasing Their Latest Regulator Masterpiece
Louis Erard is a Swiss watch brand beloved worldwide for its commitment to creating high-value timepieces. A Swiss-made mechanical watch with a chronograph for around ¥400,000 can certainly be considered reasonably priced. This year, Louis Erard is championing its new regulator models, a specialty of the maison.

A Piece Emphasizing Dial Design
The new "Excellence Regulator" from Louis Erard features a regulator mechanism that indicates the hours and minutes with separate hands, showcasing both mechanism and design. This model now uses the Cal. SW-200 movement from Sellita, paired with a module from Dubois Dépraz, renowned for its complications. The "hours" are displayed by a sub-dial at 12 o'clock, the "seconds" by another at 6 o'clock, and the "minutes" by the central hand, creating a true regulator display.
The dial is finished with a striped Côtes de Genève pattern. A plate with cut-outs for the outer minute track and the two sub-dials is secured with screws. The two sub-dials are adorned with fine, concentric guilloché decoration. This model truly expresses the inherent fascination of mechanical watchmaking.

A Chronograph Showcasing Meticulous Finishing
The "Excellence Chrono Date" is the chronograph model within the "Excellence" series. The craftsmanship of the entire dial is impeccable. It features slender Roman numeral indices, an elegant silver dial, and striking blued steel hands. Furthermore, the dial is adorned with a wave-like Côtes de Genève stripe pattern and guilloché decoration extending into the sub-dials, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail.
This watch is powered by the Cal. 7753, a variant of the Valjoux 7750 movement, which allows for a horizontally oriented sub-dial layout. If you're in search of a classic-style chronograph, this is a compelling option.

This chronograph is equipped with the highly regarded Cal. 7750 movement and even includes day and date complications. The elegant Arabic numeral font, the rail track around the dial's periphery, and the borders of the sub-dials evoke the classic aesthetics of the 1930s.
This limited edition of 500 pieces worldwide masterfully blends modern functionality with the simple elegance of Art Deco. The impressive gift box, which includes a luxury ballpoint pen from the Italian writing instrument brand Montegrappa, further enhances its appeal as a recommended choice.
