MCT, a brand that continues to develop original complex mechanical timepieces, was founded in 2007 by Denis Giguet, who previously headed the product division for Harry Winston's Opus series. Its novel mechanical timekeeping system astonished many watch enthusiasts. In 2015, MCT introduced the "Sequential One."

Bold, Balance Wheel at the Center

Would a watch enthusiast not be tempted to dismantle this piece and examine every detail? The layout of the mechanism is, after all, strikingly unique. At the center of the dial lies the balance wheel, oscillating back and forth 18,000 times per hour, complete with a regulator.

The case back is also see-through, yet the mechanism remains mysterious. The escapement, which governs the watch's accuracy, is housed in the center of the dial, and time is displayed by a ring that encircles it. This peculiar mechanism still manages to indicate the hours and minutes in the conventional way.

This is a mechanism that only a brand with a profound understanding of watch mechanics could create.
