Telling Time with Sealed Liquid (1)
HYT bills itself as a "Hydro Mechanical Horologist" – a maker of liquid-mechanical timepieces. The brand was born from a team of specialists who wanted to apply the concept of retrograde display, typically used with needles, to liquid.

Displaying Time with Horizontally Moving Liquid
Inside an HYT watch is a genuine mechanical movement. A mainspring drives gears, and an escapement regulates precision. However, in HYT's case, the end of this mechanism incorporates a bellows (a pump system that delivers liquid).
The bellows' accordion-like structure pushes colored liquid, which fills a capillary tube to display the time. After 12 hours, this liquid is drawn back into the bellows, and the process repeats.
Starting with the H1, HYT has expanded its variations with the H2, demonstrating steady evolution. This year, they introduced a new material for the H2 and an entirely new collection, the H3.
The H3 case is elongated horizontally. The bellows are positioned facing each other above the case. Colored liquid fills the capillary tube from left to right. After six hours, it is rapidly drawn back to the left. The numerals indicating the time are printed on four rotating cubes positioned below.
Each face of the cubes displays a six-hour index: 0–5, 6–11, 12–17, and 18–23. As the liquid resets, the cubes rotate, bringing the next six-hour index to the top. This linear time display is meticulously executed. The minute display at the lower right also uses a retrograde hand that moves in a straight horizontal line. This is an exceptionally complex mechanism, offering a captivating display of motion.

Telling Time with Sealed Liquid (2)
Using Tobacco Leaves for the Case Material
Smokers face increasing scrutiny worldwide. What if tobacco leaves could be used for something other than smoking? The Cigar is a wristwatch born from this unique concept.
Dried leaves from the beautiful "Rudolfo Vitola" tobacco plant are mixed with a hard, special resin called "Polyepoxide" and molded into the case. The dried leaves lend the watch a natural brown hue, with variations in shade creating a unique, one-of-a-kind pattern.
Once hardened, Polyepoxide achieves a Vickers hardness of 700VC, approaching the 860VC of steel, making it sufficiently durable for a watch case. Incorporating tobacco leaves reduces the amount of resin used and allows the user to possess a natural, unparalleled case. Combined with the watch's liquid retrograde mechanism, this creates a truly irreplaceable timepiece.

H2: A Bronze Case for Enjoying Patina
The H2 is a direct evolution of the H1, incorporating several new concepts and a redesigned mechanism.
The minute hand is positioned centrally, with the escapement set at the 12 o'clock position. Instead of being placed side-by-side at 6 o'clock, the two bellows are arranged in a V-shape at the 5 and 7 o'clock positions. The dial is completely see-through, revealing a mechanism that resembles a car engine. While the fundamental mechanism remains the same, its innovative style captivated many observers.
The newly released H2 features a titanium case with a PVD coating of bronze. The chocolate-brown case is chic and sophisticated. Furthermore, bronze has recently gained traction for its ability to develop a vintage-like patina over time, making it an increasingly popular choice. This watch is sure to grow more cherished with use.
