A New Release from the Popular Heritage Collection

This Year, a Chronograph with a Pulsometer

As a historic Swiss watch brand, Longines releases its "Heritage Collection" annually. It is particularly popular in Japan, with many fans eagerly anticipating each year's models. This year's Heritage line features a revived chronograph and diver's watch, both inspired by Longines' rich history. Additionally, the new "Equestrian" collection for ladies also commands attention.

Longines' contributions to the watch industry have been significant throughout its history. It is no exaggeration to say that Longines has led the way with its revival models and the development of high-quality, reasonably priced products.

The two Heritage Collection models unveiled this year are revivals of a 1920s chronograph and a 1960s diver's watch, brought back to life with modern technology. Furthermore, to emphasize its recent connection with equestrian sports, the new "Equestrian" collection has been established. A host of stylish ladies' watches have also been introduced. Longines' prowess, extending beyond men's watches, was on full display, and many women were seen stopping at the booth.

A Classical Chronograph with a Refined Finish

The "Technical Milestones Pulsometer" is part of Longines' popular "Heritage Collection" and serves as a tribute to the brand's high level of watchmaking expertise. Chronographs from the 1920s typically featured a single-button mechanism for starting, stopping, and resetting the chronograph function.

This watch recreates that single-pusher system using modern movement technology. It is a high-quality chronograph equipped with a column wheel. Featuring a pulsometer for measuring pulse rate, it also offers practical utility for physicians and others. The dial, finished with multiple layers of white lacquer, boasts a beautiful luster, embodying a classical yet aesthetic appeal. It is a timepiece that truly lives up to its name as a "technical milestone" from the past, combining both appearance and mechanism.

A Sophisticated Burgundy Red Bezel

With 30 bar water resistance and a column wheel chronograph mechanism, this could certainly be called a modern diver's chronograph. However, this new model possesses a distinctly retro and chic feel. This is understandable, as its design is inspired by a 1967 model.

The unidirectional rotating bezel in burgundy red contributes to its chic aesthetic. This subtly deep red serves as an accent, harmonizing with the black dial and white sub-dials, and the mushroom-shaped pushers, to create a retro ambiance. Yet, it boasts specifications that allow for carefree use, making it a chronograph suitable for a wide range of wearers, including beginners.

Capturing the Elegant World of Equestrianism in a Ladies' Model

Longines' association with equestrian sports dates back to 1878, linking the elegant style of horse riding with watch design. In 2015, Longines pays tribute to the world of horses and equestrianism with the "Equestrian" collection, directly embodying this theme. The collection comprises pocket watches and ladies' wristwatches. The "Stirrup" model, as it is called, refers to the stirrup.

The belt attachments set at the top and bottom of the case are shaped like stirrups, forming a distinct and outstanding design feature. Furthermore, the model highlighted here features 88 diamonds set on the bezel, with diamond hour markers. The vibrant blue steel hands and the mother-of-pearl dial, with its unique luster, further enhance the elegant atmosphere. This watch opens a new chapter in Longines' world of ladies' timepieces.
