Serpenti

Since ancient Greek times, the snake has been revered as a symbol of vitality, and across the globe, as an emblem of Mother Earth and a divine incarnation. The "Tubogas," characterized by its spring-loaded design that flexibly wraps around the wrist, has been a beloved jewelry and watch collection since the 1940s.BVLGARIThis is a masterpiece representing BVLGARI. And this year at Baselworld, the "Serpenti" (meaning snake in Italian) was unveiled as a new bracelet watch with the snake motif, inheriting this tradition. The pink gold case is paired with a one-and-a-half-wrap bracelet, and the bezel is set with 38 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 0.30 carats. For those desiring an even more opulent model, a double-wrap version is also available. Additionally, a stainless steel model, offering the same diamond embellishments at a more accessible price point (¥441,000), is also offered. Furthermore, for those seeking a truly unique, one-of-a-kind piece, custom orders are possible using pink gold or white gold for the case material.

Quartz, pink gold case & bracelet (1.5 wraps) with diamonds, ¥3,223,500, scheduled for September release.

*The stainless steel model is available with diamonds (¥787,500) and without diamonds (¥441,000). The crown is accented with a pink tourmaline.

BRAND HISTORY

Founded in 1884, BVLGARI is a world-renowned Italian top jeweler, and also a highly significant brand in the watchmaking world. The company began designing watches in 1940, and in '77, it introduced the "Bvlgari Bvlgari," featuring two brand logos engraved side-by-side on a round bezel. Following the global success of this model, BVLGARI established a specialized watchmaking group in the 1980s, making a full-fledged entry into the watch industry, where it continues to exert considerable influence today.

In the 1990s, starting with the launch of a chronograph watch (1990), BVLGARI developed grand complications featuring tourbillons and minute repeaters (1994), followed by a split-seconds chronograph (1996). The successive release of these complex timepieces demonstrated not only the brand's high design aesthetic as a jeweler but also its advanced technical capabilities.

Entering the 21st century, BVLGARI expanded into a major watch group by acquiring brands renowned for their complex watchmaking, such as Gerald Genta and Daniel Roth. In 2006, the company unveiled its own in-house developed complication watch, further accelerating its momentum.
