Remarkable progress in case design and material use
An emerging brand showing significant advancement
Founded at a young age by Sassoon Silmakess and Antonio Terranova, Kustos is already celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2015. Kustos has grown rapidly with its high-tech materials, sporty design, and luxurious craftsmanship. The brand has focused on its signature tonneau-shaped "Challenge" model, introducing cases with slits on the bezel and case sides filled with carbon fiber, and models that adopt a new material, "forged carbon," for the case. The high-level case manufacturing technology deserves renewed attention.

Challenge Jetliner Carbon
Case fully filled with carbon fiber
The "Challenge Jetliner" is a model that fuses Kustos' signature tonneau shape with the world of "private jet travel." It pursues lightness through design and materials, with a captivating sapphire crystal dial and movement visible through the case back, and a bezel boldly etched into its form.
This "Challenge Jetliner Carbon" showcases a daring technique of filling the slits on the case sides and bezel with carbon fiber. The carbon fiber pattern is meticulously aligned even in the fine slit areas. This watch allows you to experience the lightness befitting a "Jetliner" and the brand's evolution.

Challenge Jetliner Forged Carbon
Case manufactured with noteworthy new technology
Forged carbon is an advanced technology gaining attention in the automotive and aerospace industries. By casting carbon fiber with random fiber orientation, it overcomes the drawback of conventional carbon fiber, which tends to split along the direction of the pattern. However, it requires casting at even higher temperatures and pressures, and minor shape corrections are difficult due to its extreme toughness. This new "Jetliner" model generously incorporates this challenging-to-manufacture material. Furthermore, Kustos mixes colored glass during the casting process, creating random stripe patterns on the case surface for an accent. This is a new luxury sports model with no compromises in movement or fit.

Challenge Chrono Forged Carbon
The ultimate material fused with a chronograph
This watch is also a model that utilizes forged carbon, fused with the highly popular chronograph function. The process of forging forged carbon under high temperature and pressure can be compared to the process of creating diamonds, and its manufacturing cost is comparable to precious metals.
The forged carbon case, mixed with colored glass to create unique color accents, is literally a black diamond, offering not only toughness but also supreme luxury. The fusion with the intricate chronograph mechanism visible through the see-through dial and case back is irresistible to watch enthusiasts. It truly deserves to be called a cutting-edge timepiece.
