The Ralph Lauren Watches Sporting Collection features outstanding sports models with a dynamic, round design. Joining this collection is the new "Ralph Lauren Automotive Chronograph," which adds elegance with a wood-finished dial, evoking the spirit of motorsport.

Inspired by "The Most Beautiful Car in the World"
Commitment to authenticity and a love for the essence of things are not easily achieved. Ralph Lauren is one individual who embodies this. His collections of cars and watches are particularly renowned; he owns a rare 1938 Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupé, one of only a few in existence worldwide. Hailed as "the most beautiful car in the world" before World War II, only three were ever manufactured, and he possesses one of them.
The new "Ralph Lauren Automotive Chronograph" model was created with inspiration drawn from that very Atlantic Coupé.
The tri-compax chronograph dial, featuring a tachymeter scale, is crafted from elm wood, reminiscent of the Atlantic Coupé's instrument panel. The new model utilizes natural materials, meticulously selected for their grain and burl patterns, befitting the elegance of the Atlantic Coupé.
Each watch is transformed into a precious, unique piece, evoking the dashboard of a luxury sports car and its array of gauges.
The screw-down bezel, characteristic of the Sporting Collection, lends a mechanical impression, while the curved finishes of the lugs, case sides, and pushers echo the graceful lines of the Atlantic Coupé's body.

The movement, Cal. RL751A/1, jointly developed with Jaeger-LeCoultre, offers high precision and a 65-hour power reserve, ensuring impeccable performance. The Côtes de Genève and perlage decorations, typical of high-end mechanical movements, are beautifully showcased through the sapphire crystal case back.
Previewed just before SIHH 2015, this chronograph is an exceptionally high-level timepiece, brimming with a special quality that underscores Ralph Lauren's passion for watches.
