A Complex Moon Phase Filled with Surprise and Wonder

Cartier presented an overwhelming array of new creations across all genres in 2014. Led by art pieces exemplified by their mystery watches, the brand unveiled a succession of exquisite high jewelry models and complicated timepieces equipped with innovative mechanisms such as perpetual calendars and tourbillons. This year, they further impressed watch enthusiasts by debuting their first truly robust men's diver's watch with 300m water resistance.



The lineup of complicated watches this year, spearheaded by the Astrocalendar & Flying Tourbillon model evoking the cosmos, is filled with pieces that are all unmissable. Among them, the one we particularly want you to focus on is this tourbillon with a dual time and moon phase mechanism, featuring a lapis lazuli dial whose blue radiance is exquisite.

The second time zone is displayed on a 24-hour disk at the 12 o'clock position, and the moon phase appears when the button at the 4 o'clock position is pressed. The lapis lazuli disk partially conceals the tourbillon cage, which is shaped like the moon, to represent the lunar phase.
