A Tribute to the Mille Miglia

The "Mille Miglia" is a legendary race that covers a total distance of 1000 miles (Mille Miglia in Italian), running on public roads from Brescia, Italy, to Rome and back to Brescia.

This race, which began in 1927, was discontinued in 1957 for safety reasons. Since its revival in 1977, it has become a luxurious road rally for classic and vintage car enthusiasts. Chopard is one of the companies that serves as its main sponsor.



In recent years, watches commemorating this event have been produced and are overwhelmingly popular among car enthusiasts. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Chopard's sponsorship of this rally. The new "Mille Miglia 2013 GMT Chronograph" is also a commemorative model.

This chronograph features a GMT function to display the current time in another time zone, COSC-certified chronometer precision, and a rubber strap that reproduces the tread pattern of 1960s Dunlop racing tires. It's a timepiece with the charm of vintage details, evoking the world of classic racing in contrast to the modern "Superfast".
