A Modern Reinvention of the Maison's Grand Classic Model

Blue like the Earth, black like the cosmos. Girard-Perregaux, with its 2019 theme set as "Earth to Sky," has introduced a model that seems to engage in a dialogue with the universe.

The "Neo Bridges Earth to Sky Edition" embodies the "Neo Bridges" design, a fusion of tradition and technical innovation. The three bridges—a layout with three mainplates arranged linearly—were created by Girard-Perregaux 150 years ago and are now a signature structure of the brand. This designの特徴 is its modern and dramatic expression of these distinctive bridges.

To embody the "Earth to Sky" theme, it features a 45mm titanium case with a black DLC coating. The strap is alligator leather with a rubber-like finish, paired with a titanium triple folding buckle, creating a striking deep black impression.

By removing the dial and revealing the intricate internal structure of the movement, akin to a miniature cosmos, from the front, the watch also features a crystal developed with nearly ten times the usual amount of sapphire crystal. This is ingeniously crafted to capture light and focus it towards the center of the movement. Transparent sapphire crystal is also used for the case back, allowing a view of the 208-component movement from the rear.
