A Timeless Watch Embodying Understated, Elegant Charm
Founded in 1837 as a harness workshop, Hermès carries its heritage forward. In 1978, designer Henri d'Origny presented the "Arceau," featuring a round case with asymmetrical lugs inspired by stirrups, paired with italicized indices evoking a horse in full gallop.
The "Arceau 78" is the latest addition to this "Arceau" collection. Its defining feature is the anthracite-colored dial with a grained finish that emphasizes its matte texture. This chic dial is complemented by cream-colored luminous indices and slender hands, with the color contrast making the design stand out. It is powered by a Swiss quartz movement and includes a date display at 6 o'clock, along with hour and minute hands.
The strap is made of Barenia calfskin, offering a natural impression and allowing for appreciation of the leather's original texture and its evolution over time. The watch's sophisticated expression is further enhanced by the interplay of textures: a mirror-polished stainless steel case and a matte titanium bezel with a micro-blasted finish.
