A Tonneau-Shaped Chronometer for a Sensual Touch on the Wrist
The "L.U.C Heritage Grand Cru" is a tribute to the historic pocket watch that brought founder Louis-Ulysse Chopard fame in 1860. The black lacquer dial, with its white Roman numerals embodying the Maison's DNA, and the minute track tracing the dial's contour, create a unique nuance and balance.
The movement is an automatic winding caliber, powered by a 22K gold micro-rotor with engraving, housing the ultra-thin Caliber 97.01-L at just 3.3mm thick. Chamfering, polishing, perlage, and Côtes de Genève decoration are all finished with the manufacture's cutting-edge technology, meeting the stringent standards of the Geneva Seal.
The tonneau-shaped case requires special manufacturing techniques, and its form evokes the oak barrels used to age Grand Cru wines. Possessing both rigor and softness, the 40 baguette-cut diamonds set on the bezel accentuate its smooth curves. The sapphire crystal is a classic dome shape, and the case is an ultra-thin 7.74mm. This ultimate slimness lends the model a sophisticated sensuality.
