Chopard's New Alpine Eagle Collection: Inspired by the Alps and the Eagle | CHOPARD
CHOPARD
Distinctive Texture Meets Sport-Chic Design
Chopard introduces the Alpine Eagle, a luxurious yet sporty addition to its watch collection. Co-President Karl-Friedrich Scheufele himself designed this timepiece, drawing inspiration from the rich nature of the Alps and the eagles that inhabit them. It is powered by a fully in-house manufactured movement, certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute.

The dial's rugged texture creates a beautiful contrast with the bracelet's gleam.
The new Alpine Eagle collection, modern, refined, individualistic, and sport-chic, is a contemporary reinterpretation of St. Moritz, the atelier's first watch crafted from stainless steel in 1980, by Co-President Karl-Friedrich Scheufele.
Designed by Mr. Scheufele himself, the collection was inspired by his passion for the majestic nature of the Alps and the sheer power of the eagles that soar above them. The dial's rough, rock-like texture evokes the eagle's iris, the seconds hand its plumage, and the steel's cool reflection the glaciers, as if the dial itself mirrors the shifting shadows of the alpine landscape.
This timepiece, featuring an integrated case and bracelet, boasts a refined and contemporary design. It is crafted from a special steel alloy named "Lucent Steel A223," known for its exceptional durability and light-reflecting properties. A distinctive feature is the eight screws set into the round bezel. Positioned two by two at cardinal points, they add a striking accent to the design. The quality finishing and aesthetic appeal are further enhanced by details such as the screw grooves being aligned parallel to the tangent of the bezel's circle.
The meticulous satin finish across the flat surfaces of the Alpine Eagle, further accentuated by polished chamfers, creates a captivating play of light, reminiscent of how snow, rushing water, and rocks transform the alpine scenery. Beyond stainless steel, the collection is available in ten variations, including gold, two-tone, or diamond-set gold, and in two sizes, 41mm and 36mm, making them unisex pieces suitable for sharing.
To mark the launch of the Alpine Eagle, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele became a founding member of the "Eagle Wings Foundation," an innovative, interdisciplinary environmental project aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of the importance, beauty, and fragility of alpine biotopes. This initiative underscores his commitment to alpine environmental protection and connects the new collection with ecological concerns.
