Frédéric Constant has unveiled an innovative model, its first to feature the Caliber Analytics function, which checks watch accuracy independently by combining a proprietary mechanical movement with smartwatch technology.

A New Series Championing the Hybrid of Horology

Frédéric Constant, a Swiss manufacture renowned for its mastery of traditional design, has introduced a unique timepiece named the "Classic Hybrid Manufacture."

The dial embodies the classic style for which Frédéric Constant is known. The movement is visible through a transparent case back. While these features are characteristic of a mechanical watch, this model also incorporates smartwatch functionality.

The "FC-750" movement is based on the "FC-710," one of the brand's core movements. The "FC-710" is an automatic movement developed and manufactured in-house, a testament to the brand's manufacture status, and is entirely hand-finished.

By adding electronic components to this core movement, smartwatch functions are integrated, achieving a hybridization. The mechanical watch handles the driving and control of the timekeeping functions, while electronic components manage the smartwatch features, creating a true hybrid model with two power sources.

Among its smartwatch features, the "Watch Analytics function" is particularly noteworthy.

This function visualizes the inner workings of the mechanical movement, allowing measurement of the watch's rate, amplitude, and beat error.

These data points are automatically measured once a day and transferred to an app via Bluetooth®. The accumulated data is displayed in chart format and can be viewed on a smartphone screen.

Should there be any issue with the movement's operation, the system notifies the user via the app or cloud.

Smartwatch functions are operated by a push-button at the 10 o'clock position, and the connection status is indicated by a connected counter at the 12 o'clock position.

The "Classic Hybrid Manufacture" also comes with a rotating charging box.

It is equipped with a self-winding function that winds the rotor of the automatic movement, and a detachable charger for the smartwatch. When the watch is not in use, placing it in this box ensures it is always ready for optimal use.
