A Limited Edition Model Achieving a Slim 9.8mm Case Thickness While Maintaining Overall Harmony

The PRESAGE 2018 limited edition model is equipped with the newly developed thin movement, "Caliber 6L35." Leveraging its slimness, the case thickness is achieved at 9.8mm. The worldwide limited quantity of 1,881 pieces is derived from 1881, the founding year of SEIKO.

Compared to the current core movement, Caliber 6R15, Caliber 6L35 achieves a thinner profile of approximately 1.3mm while further enhancing precision. To emphasize the thinness of this new Caliber 6L35, a structure was adopted where the movement and dial are set from the bezel side. This ensures a comfortable fit without a feeling of bulkiness when worn.

Furthermore, a screw-down bezel was employed with long-term maintenance in mind. This minimizes damage from repeated bezel removal during overhauls and, by setting a decorative bezel, ensures the overall harmony of the case is preserved.

The case, polished with Zaratsu techniques into a combination of mirror and hairline finishes, is treated with DiaShield. The sapphire crystal features a Super Clear Coating with an anti-reflective film. This coating enhances the legibility of the dial even in bright light conditions, beautifully accentuating the delicate pattern reminiscent of Japanese paper.
