The Thinnest Movement in the Current Collection

Following the chronograph, dual time zone (travel time), and annual calendar, the Nautilus collection now features its first grand complication, the "Nautilus 5740/1," equipped with a perpetual calendar mechanism.

The movement powering this watch is the Caliber 240 Q, renowned as a masterpiece among PATEK PHILIPPE's in-house developed movements. This mechanism automatically determines and adjusts for the end of each month, including February 29th in a leap year, and is highly regarded for its practicality. The integration of an off-center micro-rotor made of 22K gold completes this ultra-thin automatic perpetual calendar movement.

What sets this model apart from other watches with perpetual calendars is the repositioning of the adjustment buttons for the perpetual calendar to complement the Nautilus's case design. The placement is thoughtfully considered, and the ease with which such modifications can be made is a testament to PATEK PHILIPPE's status as a true manufacture.

Furthermore, the "Nautilus 5740/1" achieves a case thickness of just 8.42mm, making it the thinnest among PATEK PHILIPPE's current collection of perpetual calendar models. Its slim profile ensures it sits elegantly beneath a suit cuff, enhancing its wearability.

The exquisite finishing applied to the movement, along with the off-center micro-rotor adorned with a Calatrava cross, can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back.

The dial features a blue soleil finish, previously showcased on the 40th-anniversary model introduced in 2016. Its contrast with the 18K white gold case is striking. The bracelet is equipped with the Nautilus fold-over clasp for smooth fastening and unfastening.
