One year since the groundbreaking DEFY series announcement
The DEFY El Primero 21, which made a striking debut at last year's BASELWORLD, has now reached its first anniversary. This remarkable new model, a production piece capable of 1/100th-second precision with its central chronograph hand completing a rotation every second, stunned many.
Now, a Japan-limited model of the DEFY El Primero 21 is finally here. Proposed for the Japanese market, this model features a refreshing and dynamic image with white as its motif.
The design pays homage to ZENITH's iconic El Primero, first released in 1969, just like the standard DEFY El Primero 21. It features a skeletonized dial within a 44mm titanium case.
The dial is laid out with a chronograph power reserve indicator at 12 o'clock, hour and minute hands at the center, a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock, a white 60-second counter at 6 o'clock, and a white 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock. It's a clean design that uses the white space around the outer edge of the indices as a striking focal point.
Two strap options are available: one is rubber with a white alligator leather coating, and the other is white rubber.
