An Automatic Movement in the Aikon, Now Skeletonized

Skeleton watches have been an indispensable part of Maurice Lacroix's identity since its founding in 1961. At BASELWORLD 2018, the brand introduces the "Aikon Automatic Skeleton," a new model that reimagines the Aikon's case design and presents it in a skeletonized form.

The watch features a large 45mm case, with an updated design characterized by six "arms" on the bezel that create a sense of rhythm. The strap, integrated with the case, utilizes an "easy change" system, allowing for strap detachment and attachment with one hand.

The movement is a newly developed and designed proprietary caliber for this model. Five concentric circles forming the mainplate traverse the timepiece, extending like waves from bridge to bridge, and from the center of the mainspring towards the 1 o'clock position.

The "Aikon Automatic Skeleton" is a fusion of two distinct identities: Maurice Lacroix's signature skeletonization technique and the "Aikon" collection, finished to the same high standards as the brand's top-tier collections. It is an exquisite model that allows for a full appreciation of the maison's distinctive characteristics.
