A Chronograph That Adapts to Various Uses by Changing Straps

Montblanc presents a chronograph that carries on the legacy of Minerva, a legendary stopwatch brand, and boasts exceptional precision. The renowned Minerva stopwatches, refined since their debut in the 1910s, were adopted in fields demanding accurate timekeeping, particularly in numerous motor racing timing events.

By detaching and reattaching the strap using the mechanism on the case back, it can be smartly transformed into a wristwatch, a pocket watch, or a dashboard clock, depending on its intended use. Furthermore, the two arms on the case back allow it to be secured to a car's dashboard. The case can rotate 180 degrees in either direction, allowing for easy time reading while driving with hands on the steering wheel.

The motor racing theme extends to the watch's case back. Opening the hinged cover, designed to resemble a car's grille, reveals the meticulously finished manufacture hand-wound monopusher chronograph caliber in action. Based on Minerva's legendary caliber 17.29 from 1930, which was used in both wristwatches and pocket watches, this caliber features a column wheel, horizontal coupling, and a power reserve of approximately 50 hours.
