The case material was changed from titanium to stainless steel, and the bezel was upgraded to scratch-resistant ceramic. This resulted in sharper case edges, lending a more sporty and refined appearance. The case's surface finish also adopted a polish unique to stainless steel, enhancing its presence on the wrist.

The chronographs in the 'Grand Ocean' collection, inspired by yacht racing, have also evolved with minor changes to achieve a more elegant and sophisticated look. Furthermore, this collection now includes the 'Grand Ocean Ultra Slim' as a regular model. This timepiece features a simple design and is powered by the ultra-thin quartz movement 'Caliber 27000,' developed in 1998, with a remarkable thickness of just 1.4mm.
