Celebrating 10 Years of the BR01 with a Succession of New Square Models (1)
Bell & Ross's current success began with the breakthrough of the square "BR01" model, which mimicked aircraft instruments in an unprecedented way. 2015 marks the 10th anniversary of the "BR01's" debut, and a powerful lineup was prepared. The focus was, as expected, on two limited editions. One is a 10th-anniversary model of the "BR01" in black ceramic. Another is a model that uses bronze for the case of the "BR01 Skull," which was inspired by a skull motif and released in 2009. Both boast impactful designs. Furthermore, a collaboration model with the French Air Force's main fighter jet, the "Rafale," was introduced for the "BR03," and this is also expected to receive strong support from aviation enthusiasts.

A Limited Edition Celebrating 10 Years with a Black Ceramic Case
"It looks like it was pulled straight from an aircraft cockpit," has been the description since this model first appeared. While its style was strikingly unique, it gained support from fans seeking novelty unavailable elsewhere and became a hit. Ten years later, the "BR01" and its derivative models have become an indispensable presence in the watch industry.
This 10th-anniversary model is an all-black version featuring a black ceramic case. It inherits the basic "instrument" concept, with the indices at 12, 3, and 9 o'clock using the same font found on actual aircraft instruments. A logo indicating the 10th anniversary is placed at the 6 o'clock position on the dial, and the serial number of this limited edition of 500 pieces is engraved on the case back. Its lack of functions beyond hours, minutes, and seconds embodies minimalism, and combined with the coloring, it exudes a special aura.

A Skull Motif Appears in the Dark
In 2009, the limited edition "BR01 Airborne" was released. This all-black model, inspired by the talisman of elite paratroopers, featured a skull motif on its dial. The skull glowed in the dark using black Super-LumiNova. Its unconventional design had such a strong impact that it sold out instantly. The main feature of this limited edition, which revives that legendary model, is the use of bronze for the case material.
Bronze is an alloy of copper with small amounts of tin and zinc, used for various purposes since ancient times. Due to the copper content, bronze develops a patina over time, a characteristic that strongly expresses its aging. When bronze is used for everyday tools, it develops a unique character with the passage of years. In other words, it "matures" into a watch that is one of a kind. Combined with its distinctive motif, this model becomes an irreplaceable timepiece that one cannot bear to part with once acquired.

A French Air Force Tribute Befitting a French Brand
The Rafale is the main fighter jet used by the French Air Force and Navy, known as a stealth aircraft with a beautiful form that embodies the adage, "An airplane with a beautiful shape flies farther." This watch is a tribute to such a Rafale.
Based on the moderately sized "BR03-94," it features a black ceramic case and a gray dial reminiscent of the Rafale's air combat camouflage. The luminous material on the hands and indices is black Super-LumiNova, ensuring visibility in the dark. The tachymeter markings, chronograph seconds hand, and 30-minute counter hand are orange, making them easy to spot on the dial while also serving as an accent that evokes the jet's engine exhaust.
This is an official collaboration with Dassault, the manufacturer of the Rafale. The font used for the indices is identical to the font used for the Rafale's aircraft numbers and other markings. The small seconds subdial at 3 o'clock even depicts the Rafale itself, making it an irresistible design for aviation fans.
