A Collection True to Fred's Bold Creative Spirit!

Founded in 1936 by Fred Samuel at 6, Rue Royale in Paris, Fred is a world-renowned jewelry brand. Around 1960, the maison commissioned various artists to create special pieces, resulting in numerous masterpieces.

Bernard Buffet designed a butterfly-shaped brooch in 1959, and Jean Cocteau presented a yellow gold pendant in 1962. Later, in 2004, Arman designed the “Success” ring, inspired by a violin crafted from yellow gold and wood. More recently, artists like Christian Ghion have continued to produce bold, minimalist lines and contemporary designs, solidifying Fred's reputation as a highly creative jewelry brand.

The event featuring Fred, “FERD FOLLIES,” is being held at The Stage, 1st Floor, Main Building, Isetan Shinjuku Store. A limited edition item appearing here is “THE FREDY’S.” First unveiled by Fred Samuel in 1979, this collection was a major hit in the 1980s, featuring unique characters with pearl faces adorned with gold and enamel. Now, “THE FREDY’S” are being revived for contemporary times.

The designs for “THE FREDY’S” this time were created by Jean-Paul Goude, a leading multi-artist from France. Known globally for his work as a photographer, illustrator, graphic designer, filmmaker, and event producer, he is particularly famous for producing the parade for the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution in 1989.

Also available at the event will be “Mlle. Delphine,” designed by Yan Sicard, head of Fred's design studio and its dedicated designer.

This is a Christmas jewelry piece combining candy-like colored stones with diamonds and white gold. The rings feature four vibrant and pop-colored stones: blue topaz, pink tourmaline, peridot, and amethyst.

During the event, designer Yan Sicard will also visit Japan from Paris. Full custom orders for jewelry, as well as semi-custom orders for rings using 20 types of colored stones, will be possible. Customers purchasing the limited edition Fred Isetan Shinjuku Store ring “Mlle. Delphine” will receive a special gift: a signed design sketch by Yan Sicard.

These bold and artistic creations, perfect for the holiday season, are a must-have.
