The red carpet was adorned with haute couture gowns and brilliant jewels. The styles of actresses broadcast worldwide often set the next big trends, and this year, we turn our attention to high jewelry.

The Rising Popularity of Diamond Cuffs


Diamond cuffs, a recent favorite on the red carpet, were a major trend at the Academy Awards as well. From Dakota Johnson and Emma Stone, who gained attention for their roles in 'Fifty Shades of Grey,' to seasoned actresses like Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman, cuffs were everywhere.Fifty Shades of GreyBeyond pieces designed as cuffs, some opted for a stacked look with multiple thick bracelets, creating a voluminous effect on their wrists. Forgoing necklaces, they showcased their décolletage with a healthy glow, opting instead to adorn their wrists with an abundance of diamonds. This bold yet refined styling brought a youthful impression to their gorgeous gown ensembles.

This year's Academy Awards also saw many actresses, known as trendsetters on the red carpet, sporting large, colorful gemstones. Amidst the predominantly diamond-adorned red carpet, these pieces made a special statement. Cate Blanchett, usually known for her chic style, paired a minimalist black dress with a blue necklace. Style icon Gwyneth Paltrow also made headlines with large rubellite earrings. For celebrities accustomed to dressing up, colorful jewelry appears to be emerging as a new trend.

The Next Trend: Diamond Ear Cuffs!?


Chandelier earrings are overwhelmingly favored for formal occasions like the Academy Awards, pairing well with classic updos and serving as a staple of high jewelry. However, this year, attention turned to Chloë Grace Moretz's ear cuff. The ear cuff, already a popular fashion item among younger generations, was luxuriously reimagined in diamonds. We may see more celebrities sporting ear cuffs at future film festivals.
