The third session, a workshop titled "Pearl Jewelry Coordination for Working Women," will be held on Saturday, October 19th, at the MIKIMOTO Atrium in Ginza.

Jewelry Director Misaki Ito to Share Tips for Creating an Impression with Pearls

MIKIMOTO, founded by Kokichi Mikimoto, the first in the world to cultivate pearls, has consistently produced exquisite pearl jewelry through its innovative techniques and refined aesthetic sensibilities. For the third "Pearl School" session, renowned jewelry director Misaki Ito, celebrated for her sophisticated styling that appeals to adult sensibilities, will lead the workshop "Pearl Jewelry Coordination for Working Women."

To commemorate the 120th anniversary of pearl invention, MIKIMOTO conducted a "Pearl Perception Survey" targeting women in five major global cities: Tokyo, London, Paris, New York, and Shanghai. The results indicated that women in Tokyo, compared to their international counterparts, tend to limit their pearl jewelry wear to formal occasions like weddings and funerals. In light of this, the workshop was conceived to encourage Japanese women to enjoy pearl jewelry more frequently and to enhance their personal radiance.

During the session, Ms. Ito will provide practical guidance, using models, on how working women can effectively incorporate pearl jewelry into their daily wardrobes to express their individuality and make a positive impression. Additionally, MIKIMOTO staff will share fundamental knowledge about pearls, including how to select and care for them.
