Expressing Novel and Universal Beauty Through the Radiance and Sound of Spheres
Since 2009, TASAKI has been presenting jewelry that breaks through conventional ideas, with fashion designer Thakoon Panichgul, active in New York, serving as Creative Director. Among these, "balance," launched in 2010 as Thakoon's debut collection, became popular for its innovative yet timeless design, featuring five pearls appearing to float in a straight line. It is now the brand's signature series.
Now, TASAKI is collaborating with "teamLab," a collective of ultra-technologists who operate borderlessly across art, design, and technology. An art installation inspired by the "balance" collection will be presented. On the first basement floor of the TASAKI Ginza Main Store, the venue, countless floating spheres of light, each representing a pearl, will appear as "teamLabBall." When visitors touch them, the light, color, and sound will change, unfolding digital art that resonates with the emotions of those present in each fleeting moment.
teamLab, which has gained international attention for its art works utilizing the latest technology, was invited to showcase "The Floating Flower Garden: Transformations and Births" at the "Kansei: Japan Design Exhibition" held at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in France, as part of the 150th anniversary of Franco-Japanese relations. We invite you to experience the infinite balance art, created by this collective of ultra-technologists, which expresses the eternal beauty of pearls.
