A Charity Watch That Provides 100 Meals Per Purchase

In January 2013, Michael Kors announced a long-term partnership with the WFP to address the issue of hunger. Now, Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry has joined thisglobal campaignin support of the hunger eradication campaign. Berry has previously supported victims of domestic violence and raised funds for cancer research and treatment, receiving the "Mothers Who Make a Difference" award from Love Our Children USA in 2009 for her contributions. For her, known as a philanthropist, standing up against hunger for women and children is a natural progression.

Halle Berry, who states that women play a crucial role in the fight against hunger, expressed her enthusiasm: "As mothers, mentors, and entrepreneurs, women transform families, communities, and the future. I am confident that by cooperating with this campaign, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need."

Michael Kors also commented: "Her participation has brought new energy to the initiative. Of course, the power of a star is incredibly important. We are delighted that she has joined our campaign and is working with us."

The first collaboration between Michael Kors and Halle Berry will be the launch of a special charity watch created as part of the "Watch Hunger Stop" campaign. Named the 100 Series, this watch provides 100 meals to children through the WFP for every watch sold. Available in two face colors, with ladies' and men's models in two sizes each. In Japan, sales will begin in mid-May 2013 at all Michael Kors stores. The five stores carrying the collection are Roppongi Hills, Omotesando, Shinjuku Takashimaya, Shinjuku Odakyu, and JR Osaka Mitsukoshi Isetan.

Michael Kors and Halle Berry are scheduled to visit WFP field operations to observe the realities of the issues firsthand. With Halle Berry's involvement, it is hoped that public awareness of the global issue of hunger will be further elevated.
