The edgy impression of the rhythmic spiral arm remains, now evolved into a slimmer form.
Born in New York in 1971 from a single nail, conceived by designer Aldo Cipullo, "Juste un Clou" is an edgy collection that embodies the Maison's free spirit and unconventional approach throughout its long history. New pieces from this collection will be available at a pop-up store within the Cartier Boutique, Roppongi Hills, until Sunday, September 30, 2018.
Reflecting the vibrant and free spirit of 1970s New York, "Juste un Clou" has always been a harbinger of modernity. The new collection features five models in SM size: bracelets and rings. While retaining the cool, modern design of the collection, the pieces have been refined to be slimmer and lighter.
During the pop-up store period, the boutique will be transformed into the world of Juste un Clou, under the theme "when the ordinary becomes precious." Echoing the origin story of Cartier elevating a simple nail into jewelry, the boutique's facade will feature an installation of countless golden nails created by artist Céleste Drouet, expressing Cartier's special world where the everyday is made precious.
The new "Juste un Clou" collection will also be available at select Cartier boutiques starting Saturday, September 1, 2018.
