The entire process, from prototype creation to finishing, has been meticulously handcrafted. To allow the natural patina of silver to develop uniquely with each wearer, the design remains solid, eschewing the darkening treatments often used to create shadow in feather grooves and other accessory details.

Some necklaces come with wax used in the jewelry manufacturing process of "casting." This wax is a type of oil used in forging. It's a fatty substance with a high melting point, yet soft enough to be shaved with fingernails or similar tools.

Wax is inherently the "form before creation," a closely guarded secret never meant to be seen. By including all the feather elements, including the wax ones, "NAKED FEATHER" makes it easy to visualize layering possibilities.


While the wax feathers, being extremely soft, cannot be worn, they embody the concept of "the form before creation" by inspiring imagination about the final product from its pre-manufacturing state.
