The "Pulsar Diagram" Embodied in Silver and Gold

What JAM HOME MADE proposes this time is jewelry that "shares."

They have released "POST PUNK HANDMADE -POST JEWERY #3520-", a piece of jewelry that pays homage to the album "UNKNOWN PLEASURES" by the British band JOY DIVISION, representing the collection's theme of "Post-Punk."

The pulsar diagram, a mystical motif depicted on the album's jacket, is broken down into 3520 individual parts using sterling silver 925 and 18-karat yellow gold, then meticulously assembled by hand into a three-dimensional work.


A pulsar diagram visualizes radio waves emitted in short, periodic pulses, measured in seconds or milliseconds. The motif on the jacket was designed by graphic designer Peter Saville, who referenced the pulsar of the planet "CP1919," discovered in 1900.

The individual parts, separated through disassembly, transform into neck tops of various shapes, expressing the value of "sharing one piece" with people worldwide through the relationship between "individuals" and "collectives."

Each individual part is engraved with a serial number from 1 to 3520 and the word "JAM." As each character is hand-stamped, no two pieces are exactly alike, making each a unique creation.

This can be called a new form of jewelry that embodies the unique texture of handcrafted work and the modern value of "sharing."
