Translating the Curves of Couture into Jewelry

Victoire de Castellane, celebrating Dior's unique and creative vision, is releasing eight new additions to the "Archi Dior" fine jewelry collection, first launched two years ago.

The collection features pieces inspired by the "Corolle" dress from the Spring/Summer 1948 collection, with its voluminous, cinched waist, and the "Milieu du Siècle" line from the Autumn/Winter 1949-1950 collection. Based on the geometry found in fabric, the "Corolle" silhouette has inspired an asymmetrical ring and necklace in white gold and diamonds, while the curves of the "Milieu du Siècle" line have given rise to a necklace in gold and diamonds, two pairs of earrings in white gold and diamonds, and three rings in white gold with diamonds, and pink gold with diamonds (or without diamonds).

The jewelry's creator explains, "I chose the most dynamic and interesting movements and expressed them in gold and metal. It's not the pleated dress itself, but the idea of the pleat that I wanted to capture."
