Influenced by the films and fashion trends of the 1920s and 30s, long necklaces of 80 centimeters or more have become a staple in stylish wardrobes. In response, MIKIMOTO's "Pearl Necklace Collection 2012" introduces two new long necklaces, available from Friday, January 27th, offering versatile styling options.

New Arrangements from the Originator of Pearls
Beautiful Long Necklaces for Everyday Style──Born from the desire to bring beautiful long necklaces into everyday fashion, this collection features two types of necklaces. One is approximately 100 centimeters long, combining Akoya pearls with a yellow gold chain for a variety of looks. The other is approximately 80 centimeters long, with Akoya pearls of varying sizes strung together at random intervals. Both exude an elegant luster and complement casual attire.
Pearls & Chain for Versatile Styling
Introducing a new type of long necklace that combines an Akoya pearl strand (approx. 55 cm) with a designer yellow gold chain (approx. 47 cm). As shown above, it can be worn layered, creating a style that appears to be two distinct pieces—a pearl necklace and a chain—worn together. Alternatively, as seen on the left, it can be worn as a single, elegant long necklace. The clasp, a design feature in itself, can be used creatively to enjoy it as a fashion item, adding flair and individuality.
