Bulgari, Long Committed to Social Responsibility, Supports Virus Prevention and Treatment
The Roman High Jeweler, Bulgari, has made a substantial donation to the research department of Rome's Lazzaro Spallanzani Hospital to foster the development of effective strategies against the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Maria Rosaria Capobianchi, Francesca Colavita, and Concetta Castilletti, researchers with exceptional foresight working at the heart of Italy's leading medical and research institutions, were the first in Europe to successfully isolate the virus's structure. They have confirmed the efficacy of a vaccine candidate against the novel coronavirus within 48 hours of infection.
Thanks to Bulgari's donation, the hospital has acquired a state-of-the-art system for capturing microscopic images, enabling the advancement of pioneering research into virus prevention and treatment. The team is currently making rapid progress, utilizing cutting-edge tools in China.
Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bulgari Group, commented, "We hope our contribution will help accelerate the development of antiviral therapies. We are also proud to support the local Lazzaro Spallanzani scientific team in achieving this remarkable breakthrough."
