BACKES & STRAUSS: Crafting Timepieces for Diamonds

A brand guided by the principle of "crafting timepieces to showcase diamonds," rather than "diamonds for timepieces." Its origins lie in a diamond company founded in London in 1789.High JewelryThe exquisite watches, featuring meticulously selected diamonds with unique cuts, are truly a sight to behold.

Diamond Watches That Captivate Men

BACKES & STRAUSS is the world's oldest diamond company, established in London in 1789. It boasts a long history, having exhibited at the first World's Fair in London in 1891, and its classically designed Assyrian-style bracelets are still preserved in the British Museum today.

The cuts by BACKES & STRAUSS reveal "hearts & arrows" within the diamonds. This enhances the romantic image of diamonds while also attesting to their "ideal cut."

For over 200 years, they have poured their passion into diamonds and jewelry. Upon encountering Franck Muller Watchland, they dreamed of creating the ultimate timepieces for diamonds. The watches born from the collaboration between those who know diamonds intimately and a watchmaker renowned for innovative spirit and exceptional craftsmanship combine mathematical precision with artistic elegance. The exterior, case, and dial of the watches highlight geometric symmetry through the perfect cutting of diamonds, while the generous curves of the case are meticulously calculated to ensure ideal light reaches every stone. Everything exists to enhance and illuminate the diamonds – that is the essence of a BACKES & STRAUSS timepiece.

The brand features three collections inspired by famous London landmarks: "Regent," modeled after Regent's Park; "Piccadilly," born from the iconic circular intersection; and "Berkeley," inspired by historic London parks. The photo showcases a new release from the "Berkeley" collection, a square watch. While the company has previously focused on classic and elegant designs, this year they reveal a new, modern facet with the sporty impression of black PVD coating.
