The case back is a transparent exhibition case, allowing a view of the movement adorned with beautiful Côtes de Genève decoration, reminiscent of the gentle ripples on Lake Geneva, a renowned summer resort.

BRAND HISTORY
Although the brand has only recently arrived in Japan, its origins are ancient, dating back to 1884. Its founder, Christian Ruefli-Flury, was known as one of the most talented watchmakers of his time, and was one of the first brands to begin producing wristwatches in the early 20th century, when pocket watches were still the norm.

Time moved on, and in 1961, EDOX unveiled the "Delfin," boasting an astonishing water resistance of over 200 meters for its era. In 1970, they developed the "Geoscope," the world's first world timer. This was a groundbreaking model capable of displaying the time zones of approximately 50 cities worldwide.

The brand's management was temporarily transferred to another company in the 1970s, but it regained its independence in 1983. Supported once again by many skilled technicians, in 1998, they introduced the "Les Bemonts," which has become legendary. The movement搭載 in this watch boasted an astonishing thinness of just 1.4mm, despite incorporating a calendar function.

In recent years, EDOX has actively introduced not only dress-style designs but also sporty models. They emphasize tough models using materials like titanium and carbon fiber, and in 2007, collaborated with luxury yacht manufacturers and high-end motor brands to release new products rich in sophisticated taste.
