“The model I have apparently incorporates details from the initial archives. Its slightly large, angular lines and unadorned look make it a watch that pairs easily with vintage clothing. Perhaps the simple design that's easy to wear is also a reason why this watch captivated me.”

He also owns the same collection in a different color. These cherished watches have become something he "can't feel settled without on his wrist." He explained that while functionality is important, the excellent design of the watch is an indispensable point for his profession as a DJ.

“The ease of checking the time is a great feature of this watch, but as my job involves standing on stage where the audience pays attention to me, I prioritize the design. It's simple yet stylish. I think it's cool if people catch a glimpse of a high-quality, luxurious watch on my wrist and think, ‘This person not only understands music but also fashion!’ (laughs)”

A watch befitting the start of the day, which changed how I approach wearing a wristwatch

“My day begins when I wake up, get ready, and put this watch on my wrist. It puts me in the mood, like, ‘Alright, let’s do this!’” DJ KAWASAKI admits he didn't wear wristwatches much before. Meeting this model seems to have changed his perspective on wearing one.

“I used to think that if I were to wear a wristwatch, it had to be an expensive one, so I felt it was too soon for me. But after encountering this watch, I became interested, realizing that a wristwatch is just another accessory, like a necklace or sunglasses, that can be worn casually. I believe analog items, like a novelist's favorite fountain pen, are part of a culture that must be cherished. Therefore, they are essential to humans. I want my beloved watch to be like a friend with whom I will continue to mark time.”
