Fusaki Resort Village Beach & Garden has opened a splash park featuring Ishigaki Island’s largest water slide.

Fusaki Resort Village Beach & Garden in Ishigaki City, Okinawa Prefecture, has been undergoing phased renovations and expansions of its guest room buildings and facility buildings, aiming to approximately double the total site area by 2020.

As the first phase of renovations, the "Aqua Garden" pool area, featuring a water slide up to 6.5 meters high, opened in June 2018, perfectly situated with a 1km natural beach stretching out before it.

The resort will feature a splash park with Ishigaki Island's largest water slide, and a beachside pool where guests can swim leisurely while gazing at the horizon.

The splash park also includes a shallow kids' pool for children's enjoyment, as well as the "AYAPANI" baby & kids' space, equipped with a complex playground and an indoor play area.

Adjacent to the beachside pool, the "THE STAR BAR" resort beach bar is set to open, offering views of the stunning Ishigaki blue sea and white sandy beach.

After sunset, guests can enjoy resort-style cocktails in a luxurious atmosphere accompanied by live jazz music.

Fusaki Resort Village Beach & Garden first opened its doors in July 1982.

Facing the west coast of Ishigaki Island, it offers one of the island's best sunset views. Its proximity to a natural beach, where sea turtles come to lay their eggs, is another significant attraction.

Within the grounds, guests can find a garden surrounded by subtropical plants like hibiscus and palm trees, and the "Fusaki Angel Pier," a pier perfect for enjoying sunsets and the star-filled night sky. As a resort hotel where visitors can experience nature while enjoying the leisurely island time, it has long welcomed many travelers from both Japan and abroad.

In its 36th year since opening, Fusaki Resort Village Beach & Garden is undertaking a large-scale expansion and renovation with the concept of "Ishigaki Resort Modern." This initiative aims to create a new space that blends a sophisticated resort feel with a deep appreciation for Ishigaki's unique character.

Over three years, through to 2020, phased expansion work will include the addition of new facility and guest room buildings to the north and south of the current site.

Winter 2018 saw the completion of "Central Village" on the north side, featuring a lobby and restaurant buildings, followed by the "North Terrace" guest rooms on the north side in summer 2019.

Furthermore, spring 2020 is slated for the opening of "Eight Stars Village," a new facility building housing the resort's first indoor pool, spa, public baths, and gym. In autumn of the same year, the "South Terrace" guest rooms will be added to the south side of the property, marking the completion of the resort's extensive renovation.
