The Gakushikaikan Gala Dinner, Featuring Two Culinary Masters of French Cuisine, Will Be Held.

At Gakushi Kaikan, a designated National Registered Tangible Cultural Property, we continually embrace global influences by fostering exchange with the French culinary world while preserving our own rich food traditions.

And this year, we are once again hosting a top-tier dinner, inviting two culinary luminaries from France, one for cooking and one for service.

The chef is Christian Têtedoie, who earned the prestigious MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) distinction at a young age and now helms his eponymous restaurant, "Christian Têtedoie," in Lyon, the gastronomic capital.

In 2011, he was honored with the Légion d'honneur by the French government and serves as the president of the "Maîtres Cuisiniers de France," the most esteemed and historic association of French chefs.

Overseeing the service is Franck Rangé, the Maître d'hôtel of the restaurant at the French National Assembly.

He also presides over the "Coupe Georges Baptiste," the most prestigious service competition in Europe, and was himself the winner of the professional division in 1988.

Both have made significant contributions to the French cuisine scene in Japan. They are visiting to serve as the respective French jury chairmen for the 17th "Maîtres Cuisiniers de France 'Jean Sirugue Cup'" and the 17th "Maître de Service Cup," competitions organized by the Association pour la Promotion de la Gastronomie Française (APGF).

They will showcase their exceptional skills by orchestrating a dinner at the historic Gakushi Kaikan.
