Palace Hotel Tokyo Presents a Collaboration with the Artist Who Crafted Lady Gaga's Shoes.
From Monday, June 26th to Friday, July 7th, a special exhibition of artist Noritaka Tatehana's new installation, "Prayers," will be held at the Palace Hotel Tokyo's 1st-floor reception.
This collaboration, first realized last year, harmonizes the worldview of Palace Hotel Tokyo, which upholds the brand concept "A beautiful day in a beautiful country," with that of Noritaka Tatehana, an artist who continues to create original works using the spirituality Japan has cultivated since ancient times.
In 2017, themed around "Tanabata prayers," the work "Prayers" using bamboo will be presented, allowing visitors to participate in the installation by hanging strips of paper inscribed with their wishes.
In addition, Tatehana's representative works, including his heel-less shoes beloved by Lady Gaga, and new large-scale paintings will also be on display.
They will adorn the lobby of Palace Hotel Tokyo with a refreshing summer ambiance.
Furthermore, a limited-time special glass dessert, allowing visitors to experience "Prayers" with all five senses, will be sold at "The Palace Lounge," the 1st-floor lobby lounge, and "Sweets & Deli," the B1F pastry shop.
Why not immerse yourself in a completely new Tanabata world as expressed by Noritaka Tatehana?
