Kyoto's Early Spring Streets Ablaze with Art: ARTISTS’ FAIR KYOTO 2019: BLOWBALL Opens
As a satellite event of "ARTISTS’ FAIR KYOTO 2019" (held March 2-3, 2019), "ARTISTS’ FAIR KYOTO 2019: BLOWBALL" has been announced, aiming to expand opportunities for emerging artists.
The event will transform familiar spaces such as restaurants and hotels within Kyoto Prefecture into art exhibition venues, with emerging artists collaborating with each location to display and sell their work.
Participating venues include restaurants, hotels, and offices such as Spring Valley Brewery Kyoto, KYOTO ART HOSTEL kumagusuku, Wacoal Study Hall Kyoto, and Shimogamo Saryo.
Furthermore, BnA Alter Museum, an accommodation-style museum scheduled to open in Spring 2019, will offer a special preview of its entire facility, including the art rooms currently under construction, through a "Night Museum Tour." This initiative aims to encourage art encounters for a diverse audience, from diners to overnight guests, and experimentally foster the culture of purchasing art.
Kyoto, a city where tradition and modernity coexist. Why not experience an encounter with art that can only be found here?
