Limited-Time Afternoon Tea "Kanazawa Hospitality" Available

Kanazawa, where tea ceremony culture flourished, ranks first nationwide in confectionery consumption for tea gatherings. "Yoshihashi Kashisho," founded in 1947, is a highly trusted name in Kanazawa, revered by tea masters and many others. Their meticulously crafted Japanese sweets, made only to order, offer a refined taste unique to this shop, presenting visually stunning and memorable masterpieces.

Every autumn, Palace Hotel Tokyo, nestled amidst lush nature despite its central location, collaborates with artisans to highlight Japanese food culture through its signature three-tiered afternoon tea. With travel challenging due to the pandemic, why not savor a taste of Kanazawa and enjoy a sense of travel without leaving Tokyo?

The afternoon tea, themed "Kanazawa Hospitality," begins with rakugan (dry sweets) from "Yoshihashi Kashisho," served alongside aromatic Kaga Bocha tea.

The first tier of the three-tiered stand features exquisite 'jyo-namagashi' (high-grade fresh sweets) and 'higashi' (dry sweets) from "Yoshihashi Kashisho." Admire the vibrant "Chiyomigusa," a testament to meticulous craftsmanship, and the popular annual autumn delight, "Kurikinton" (made with carefully selected chestnuts), which will be replaced by "Aki no Ka" from October 15th. Alongside "Kurumi Mochi," enjoy delicate 'namasato' (fresh sugar confection) and 'kan-go' (jellied sweets) evoking the essence of autumn.

The second tier presents sweets crafted by Palace Hotel Tokyo's pastry chefs, incorporating Ishikawa ingredients, including Kaga vegetables, to evoke a Japanese aesthetic. The third tier features savory dishes prepared by Palace Hotel Tokyo's chefs, highlighting the robust flavors of Ishikawa's local produce.

With both sweet and savory options, the three-tiered stand offers a luxurious and satisfying meal. The beverage selection includes over 25 varieties of free-flow drinks, such as Kaga Bocha from Amano Tea Shop, Japanese teas, classic teas, herbal teas, Chinese teas, aromatic teas, and coffee.

Born from Kanazawa's rich culture, these Japanese sweets, with their refined beauty and delicate flavors, are sure to soothe the soul. Experience the "finest Japan" through your senses with this limited-edition collaboration afternoon tea from Palace Hotel Tokyo and "Yoshihashi Kashisho" this autumn.
