Shin-Puh-Kan and Ace Hotel Kyoto: Breathing New Life into Kyoto

Shin-Puh-Kan partially preserves and renovates the historic former Kyoto Central Telephone Office building. It inherits the facility name "Shin-Puh-Kan" and the concept of "fusion of tradition and innovation," while incorporating new added value in its development.

This facility, comprising the "Ace Hotel Kyoto," the mini-theater "Uplink Kyoto," and a commercial zone featuring Kansai's first stores and new business formats, will breathe new life into Kyoto, becoming a hub for interaction among travelers and local residents, thereby bringing further vibrancy to the city.

Ace Hotel Kyoto, while attentive to detail, embraces Ace Hotel's signature playful approach where each location's design is distinct. It aims to be a space that honors Kyoto's rich nature, art, ever-evolving culture, refined craftsmanship, and profound history. The design, guided by the unique "East meets West" concept, was created by Commune Design, a long-standing partner of Ace Hotel.

The hotel features 213 guest rooms and includes amenities such as a gallery, gym, coffee shop, rooftop bar, and three uniquely characterized restaurants.
