An online retreat for mind and body! Experience a journey through the majestic nature of Tateyama Kurobe from the comfort of your home with Online TOYAMA Travel 5.

Organized by Toyama Prefecture, "Online TOYAMA Travel" is an online tourism model project that allows participants to experience Toyama's diverse charms from anywhere. The final installment of the series, the fifth event, will focus on "Tateyama Kurobe," a representative tourist destination in Toyama, and will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021.

The journey will be guided by Tomohiko Saeki, a mountain guide and professional skier, and Rina Katayama, who offers nature yoga programs as an official Ashtanga Yoga instructor and runs activity tours. The event will be broadcast from "Tateyama Museum Kyosanbo," a former temple lodging founded during the Edo period. Using the "Tateyama Mandala," a scroll painting that encapsulates the worldview of Tateyama worship, participants will explore the legends and history of Tateyama worship, as well as experience nature activities and seated yoga breathing techniques.

The popular "travel souvenir" this time features "Masu Sushi," a representative local dish of Toyama Prefecture! In addition to Ootsuji's "Phantom Masu Sushi," made with high-quality, thick-cut salmon, the package also includes a bottle of Kurobe spring water (rich in minerals) and an eco-bag featuring "Kutabe," an enigmatic character drawing attention as a "beast that wards off plague." Why not enjoy a mind and body retreat with the souvenirs delivered in advance? Applications are accepted until Sunday, March 14, 6:00 PM.
