Deadline approaching! Seeking entertainers to fully leverage Namba's charm. The "Chokett" creator-in-residence program launches.
Nankai Electric Railway Co., Ltd. and Loftwork Inc. have launched "Chokett," a creator-in-residence program.
Chokett is a program that allows participants to test their ideas and creative seeds, based in the Namba district of Osaka. With "new forms of entertainment" as its theme, it anticipates new chemical reactions by involving the town in areas far removed from business, such as entertainment, art, and creators.
Applications are currently being accepted until October 31, 2023. Selected creators will bring their ideas to life alongside Nankai Railway and Loftwork for approximately three months, from November 20 (Monday) to February 25 (Sunday).

Key Application Points

Chokett aims to foster entertainment through interaction with the local community. We hope participants will actively engage with the Namba area, utilizing the provided workspace, and involve visitors to the town in their activities. (Daily presence is not required.)
◆ Demonstrate proactive engagement with your own project.
While the secretariat will provide support, the primary driver of the activities will be the participant.
◆ Maintain an open process and incorporate diverse perspectives.
The true value of a residency program lies in how initial ideas can evolve and transform through the integration of others' viewpoints.
◆ Participate in the final presentation event.
An event to showcase the results is planned for late February to early March 2024.
