Ajinomoto Co., Inc. launches the web media "Oishisa no Tobira" (Door to Deliciousness), offering insights into "good food perspectives" and "good living" from unique angles. Launching November 30 (Thu), with the official LINE account "Oishisa no Tobira" also established.
Ajinomoto Co., Inc. (President: Taro Fujie; Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) is launching "Oishisa no Tobira" (Door to Deliciousness), a web media platform, on November 30, 2023 (Thursday). The platform will feature ambassadors and the editorial team sharing episodes about truly "delicious" meals from their unique perspectives, appealing to diverse sensibilities. Concurrently, the official LINE account "Oishisa no Tobira" will be established.
A consumer survey on eating habits conducted by Ajinomoto Co., Inc. revealed insights such as "I eat the same thing every day," "I don't have time to eat what I like," and "I choose meals based on nutritional function rather than taste." This indicates that while a certain number of consumers may not perceive major issues with their daily meals, they are not necessarily fully satisfied.
To address consumers who, despite having an interest in food, experience a diminished sense of satisfaction, "Oishisa no Tobira" has been launched as a media outlet to reawaken their culinary curiosity and enrich their food experiences. Ajinomoto Co., Inc. views this media as a novel contact point with consumers whose satisfaction with food tends to wane. By delivering diverse content not only about food itself but also about the spaces and times associated with meals, the company aims to provide opportunities for unexpected discoveries about food and for individuals to realize their own untapped potential.
Furthermore, as our first media service business, we are considering the future development and sale of products and services related to the content.

"Oishisa no Tobira" is structured around content organized by themes, referred to as "doors." Ambassadors for each door and the editorial team will share episodes about meals they find truly "delicious." The content will be progressively expanded.
The feeling of "deliciousness" is subjective; not everyone finds the same things delicious, whether they are high-end items or highly rated by specific websites. Therefore, five ambassadors have been appointed to share their personal definitions of "delicious" from their unique viewpoints: Miyuki Ariwara (fashion model) for "Door to People and Time," Akiko Kawamura (food columnist) for "Door to Parisian Air," Ayako Kimura (owner of Kotogoto Books) for "Door to Books and Ways of Living," Emi Shinozaki (edenworks) for "Door to Flowers and the World," and Yataro Matsuura (essayist) for "Door to 'Everyday with Care.'"
Through "Oishisa no Tobira," Ajinomoto Co., Inc. aims to provide the joy of living through food and contribute to the realization of consumers' health and well-being.
