An Elegant Private Space on the Pier

Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel will participate in the public-private partnership project "YOKOHAMA HAMMERHEAD PROJECT" and open a new hotel.

The new hotel is named "InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8". The hotel is situated in a rare waterfront location in Japan. Surrounded by the sea on three sides, the views from the low-rise facilities (floors 3-5) of the pier offer a sense of openness, allowing guests to enjoy a special stay that feels like the moment of an elegant departure.

All 173 guest rooms feature a spacious design of at least 45 square meters. In particular, the lounge exclusively for guests staying in Club Rooms spans approximately 400 square meters, offering panoramic views of the ever-changing Yokohama Port from its large glass windows, visible from morning to night.

Dining facilities include a dining room (with terrace seating and a bar counter) and a sushi restaurant (counter seating only). There is also a rooftop area where guests can fully enjoy the sea of Yokohama spread out before them.

With numerous world-class major events on the horizon and further development of Yokohama Port, Yokohama Minatomirai attracts many guests from both Japan and abroad. "InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8" will begin etching a new history from this location in November 2019.
