MUSIC | Ayumi Koketsu and Hiroko Otsuka navigate. A special evening to enjoy the sound of analog records and fine dining.
A limited-time collaboration space, “QUATTRO LABO × Technics,” by Kichijoji’s music cafe & dining bar “QUATTRO LABO” and audio brand “Technics,” will host a one-night-only event on Saturday, November 19.
An Entrance-Free Event to Enjoy Jazz in Exquisite Sound
QUATTRO LABO is a music cafe & dining bar produced by Club Quattro, located near Inokashira Park in Kichijoji. With a collection of over 5,000 analog records and CDs played through handmade, large speakers, it’s truly a space that can be called an 'adults' third place.'
This event features Ayumi Koketsu, a saxophonist who released the album “Art” in November, featuring and masterfully playing songs associated with the saxophone legend Art Pepper, and Hiroko Otsuka, who is active as a DJ, music writer, and producer.
You can enjoy Koketsu's newly released work and her analog selections, accompanied by her commentary, through an exquisite sound system.
The extensive food and drink menu, a perfect match for the music, is also not to be missed.
The environment for listening to music has changed dramatically over the past decade or so.
In today's world, the rich sound of records can reset ears accustomed to MP3 audio and bring fresh inspiration once again.
