Asagi, an original sake from Prince Hotels

Prince Hotels has released its original sake, Junmai Ginjo "Asagi," developed in partnership with Hakkaisan Brewery of Niigata.

Using Original Mineral Water "Minami Uonuma no Oishii Wakimizu"

"Asagi" uses "Minami Uonuma no Oishii Wakimizu," Prince Hotels' original mineral water sold since 2012, as its brewing water.

"Minami Uonuma no Oishii Wakimizu" is a rare, natural, ultra-soft water with a hardness of 7 mg/l, sourced from the springs of Mt. Hakkai in Muikamachi, Minami Uonuma City, where the company operates. It is popular and sold at Prince Hotel gift shops, in guest rooms, and at high-end supermarkets.

Junmai Ginjo "Asagi" is a Junmai Ginjo sake with a mellow, rich umami from the rice, a subtle ginjo aroma, and a clean, refreshing finish that makes it easy to drink.

It is characterized by its excellent balance, complementing cuisine and enjoyable both chilled and warm.

[Hakkaisan Brewery Comment]
Mt. Hakkai, one of the Echigo Sanzan mountains, is revered for its elegant form and as a sacred site, serving as a spiritual anchor for many. The groundwater that springs from its foothills is cool and inexhaustible, with an ultra-soft quality essential for brewing delicate sake. We have balanced its flavor, enhancing the characteristics of the rice while achieving a mellow and easy-drinking profile. Please enjoy the subtle ginjo aroma brewed by the sake yeast.

Additionally, to commemorate the release of "Asagi," pairing dishes will be available for a limited one-month period starting October 1st (Tuesday).
