Hitachi is releasing all 11 models of its "Stainless Clean Shirokuma-kun" Premium X Series room air conditioners in late October. These units feature the "Frost Wash" automatic heat exchanger cleaning function, a first in Japan, which automatically freezes and then rapidly thaws the heat exchanger to wash away dust, mold, and oily residue that can cause odors.

The "Frost Wash" automatic heat exchanger cleaning function is a high-performance feature that automatically freezes and rapidly thaws the air conditioner's heat exchanger, washing away dust, mold, and oily residue that contribute to odors.
In addition to these technologies, the "Kurashi Camera AI" recognizes people and the room's environment. It assesses the room's conditions, predicts the level of dirt inside the air conditioner, and intelligently controls the cleaning frequency.
This keeps the inside of the air conditioner clean and delivers fresh air.

Maintaining cleanliness inside the air conditioner, which is usually difficult to maintain, Hitachi's original "Stainless Clean System" has been continued. This system uses stainless steel with antibacterial properties for the airflow path, outlet louvers, and filters.
This new product also features a "Stainless Water Drip Tray" in the drainage path for condensate during cooling and for the dirty water washed away by the "Frost Wash" automatic heat exchanger cleaning.
